Dates: October 8-13, 2024
Locality: Kraków (Poland)
Invitation
The saints in Kraków would like to invite you to come and blend with us after the ITERO in Warsaw. The church in Kraków was established in October 2017, and currently, there are around 21 local saints, including 7 full-time serving ones. Kraków is the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland with a population of 804,200 (June 2023) and over 200,000 university students coming to study here each year. As the old capital of Poland, called the “City of Kings,” Kraków has historically been a prominent hub of Polish academics, economy, culture, and arts, and is recognized as one of Europe’s most beautiful cities with its Old Town and the Wawel Royal Castle becoming a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978, one of the earliest sites in the world to receive such recognition. Before WWII, Kraków was the 4th largest Jewish settlement in Poland with Jews making up 25% of its inhabitants at the time; today, you can still visit the district where many of them lived. After the war started in Ukraine, it is estimated that Kraków received over 270,000 refugees, and it is one of the cities where the gospel and shepherding trips for the Ukrainian refugees occurred in 2022.
Plan
During this blending trip, we would like the visiting saints to meet the local saints and to labor together with them in the gospel as well as participate in the church life in Kraków. You will also have the opportunity to visit some of the famous landmarks in Kraków.
