Gospel and Blending Trip to Warsaw (Poland)

Dates: October 8-13, 2024

Locality: Warsaw (Poland)

Invitation

The saints in Warsaw would like to warmly invite you to blend, sightsee, and labour in the gospel on the campuses in Warsaw. This will be the beginning of the academic year in Poland so this will be the best opportunity to reach the students.

About Warsaw

Warsaw is the capital and the largest city in Poland with a metropolitan area population of 2.5 million residents. It may not be the oldest city, but it is one of the most prominent ones in recent history in relation to World War II.  Warsaw has also a strong connection with Jewish life and culture going back centuries. Before World War II, over 30 percent of Warsaw’s population was Jewish, making it the second largest Jewish population in the world behind New York.

It has over 65 university campuses and boasts some of the best universities in Poland. The university student population is approximately 240,000.  Currently, the campus team in Warsaw focuses their labour on two universities which some of our students are attending: The University of Warsaw (UW) and Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW).

There has been a lampstand in Warsaw since May 1993. Currently, there are more than 100 Polish and Russian speaking saints meeting on the Lord’s day. After the war started in Ukraine, the church in Warsaw became a hub for receiving many saints from Ukraine, with about 70-80 saints remaining in Warsaw. Because Poland experienced this influx of refugees, the church in Warsaw hosted many gospel and shepherding trips during 2022.  In addition, Warsaw received some of the trainees from the FTTM and therefore, the FTTM extension in Warsaw has been going on for the past 2 years.
